Biography
Luang Phor Yiam was born into a rural farming family and ordained at a young age. From early on, he showed strong determination toward meditation, discipline, and study of both Theravāda scriptures and traditional meditative arts. He trained under senior monks known for strict Vinaya observance and deep samādhi.He later became abbot of Wat Nong Bua, where he focused on developing monks, preserving temple traditions, and guiding laypeople in moral living. Despite his growing reputation, he lived simply and avoided worldly attachment.
Luang Phor Yiam was especially respected for his calm presence, patience, and unwavering adherence to Buddhist discipline. Villagers often sought him for advice during times of hardship rather than for miracles.
